Material-wise, there can be no mistake from Vertu’s end as its devices are built with sapphire glass, titanium and vulcanized rubber as well as leather. The problem is with the software and hardware which is sort of prehistoric.
Vertu appears to be nothing more than a prized possession than a powerful phone. Even the design does not look spectacular at all. Nevertheless, the company will be looking to change this with the next Vertu device.
A leak has been spotted at AnTuTu’s database which revealed the next Vertu smartphone called, Signature Touch RM-980V. It seems that the device will offer 1080×1920 display, a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, an Adreno 330 graphics chip, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It will run on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
This is something positive. Not only will consumers get a high end smartphone, they will also enjoy something powerful that is comparable to the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8. Then again, the manufacturer could have given more by equipping it with the newer Snapdragon 801 processor.
