We are about a week away from the unveiling of the highly anticipated HTC One 2 (M8) and fans of the Taiwanese-made smartphone are clearly excited for it.
Despite that fact, it has been a huge let down for HTC as many leaks have revealed the device prior to its launching. As many leaks surfaced contradict with each other, we have taken the initiative to review their credibility and compiled the real truth about the HTC One 2.
For a start, the display is expected to be a 5-inch, 1920 x 1080p full HD with 440ppi and a scratch resistant sheet. All the leaks agreed that the HTC One 2 will be 5.1inch in size and it won’t come with a physical home button.
The debate started with the battery capacity of the device. The HTC One 2 might come with a 2900mAh, 3000mAh or 2600mAh battery. As for the front camera, it is still unknown on whether it will be 4MP or 5MP.
The HTC One 2 is expected to run on the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. On the other hand, some hinted that it will only stick with the old Snapdragon 800 processor.
Nevertheless, the HTC One 2 will definitely run on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS and will offer features such as Knock On gesture control, BoomSound speakers, microSD card slot and many more.
It is safe to assume that half of the things here are accurate. In 8 days’ time, we will know for sure on what the HTC One 2 is capable of.
