The Mitsubishi Lancer will always be remembered as one of the best performance cars in the market but all things must come to an end and after being around for 10 years, we are now months from saying goodbye to the Mitsubishi Lancer.
Mitsubishi Motors’s North America Executive Vice President announced last week that the Mitsubishi Lancer will be axed in August this year. It is believed that the dropped in sales was one of the main reason why Mitsubishi decided to kill off the performance model.
It seems like Mitsubishi is ready to put their racing days behind them and focus on vehicles like the Mitsubishi ASX as well as the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. There is also talk about the Mitsubishi working on another new SUV that will compete with the Qashqai as well.
While we do like the direction Mitsubishi is taking right now, we will still miss the Mitsubishi Lancer.
