The latest Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet is truly a masterpiece but it can be pretty expansive to own. The entry level Surface Pro 3 which runs on the Intel i3 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage retails at $799, which is pretty steep for a mobile device.
Then again, the pricing is justified as the Surface Pro 3 is the perfect replacement for a laptop. It even comes with PC-like specifications. Just by looking at the top-of-the-range trim level, consumers should see the tablet running on the Intel i7 processor with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory.
As great as that sounds, there is actually a major flaw with the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. It has a structure like an average tablet which makes it hard to use from a lap. The added physical keyboard does not help as it is soft and does not offer a solid stance overall.
The design flaw is not just limited to the lap since it also affects usage when standing. There is simply no way to pull out the Surface Pro 3 and use hold it with one hand while typing with the other. This is because of the keyboard which covers a large percentage of the screen. If it is a laptop, users can hold with one hand while typing on it with the other.
Nevertheless, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is still a powerful device overall and is perfect for those who require something more mobile than a laptop. The Surface Pro 3 is also a perfect companion for both work and play.
