It is 2014 and we are in for a great year ahead. Just a couple of months ago, we witnessed the arrival of the next-gen consoles, the Xbox One and PS4. They were launched together with a number of great titles. As we are fresh in the new year, the gaming industry looks to expand further with more AAA games coming to the new consoles.
One specific title got announced even before the release of both the Xbox One and PS4. It is none other than Mass Effect 4. The moment Bioware revealed that the next Mass Effect game is in the making, a huge dosage of hype got injected into the fans’ veins.
Despite feeling excited for the upcoming sequel, some fans are worried that Mass Effect 4 will not be like the first trilogy. This appears to be true. Bioware has made it public that the next Mass Effect title will be totally different from the trilogy.
Apparently, Commander Shepard we have all played and love got axed from the franchise. The character died with Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect 4 will focus on a brand new protagonist with a fresh storyline. Bioware confirmed this and promises the fans that the traditional gameplay will not be discarded or modified.
The game developer revealed that the game will feature a new storyline that they felt it should not be called Mass Effect at all. This is to avoid any confusion among the community. As of this moment, the title is unknown. On the other hand, it also confirms that a save file from Mass Effect 3 is no longer needed for Mass Effect 4.
No matter how the game will turn out to be, fans trust Bioware will deliver a great title ahead. In addition to that, Mass Effect 4 will look to debut on both the Xbox One and PS4. This means that it will boast a graphically enhanced look once the game is released.
With a brand new storyline in the making, it will definitely be a fresh new start for the Mass Effect franchise, Bioware and the fans.
