There is a rivalry in the gaming industry and it is between Bethesda and Bioware. The former’s Elder Scrolls series has been competing with the latter’s Dragon Age series. In addition to that, Bioware’s Mass Effect series too have been competing with Bethesda’s Fallout.
With Mass Effect 4’s debut date right around the corner, some fans are pointing out that perhaps Bethesda should drop the rivalry and take some inspiration from it for the future title, Fallout 4. After all, there are countless ways in how Mass Effect 4 can aid Fallout 4 in becoming the best RPG title ever.
One example would be Mass Effect 4 companionship feature. The game will see the protagonist being aided by a crew member. The so-called friends will help the player with his missions and have a strong influence in Mass Effect 4’s plot.
This is something Fallout 4 need if they wish to offer a totally mesmerizing RPG experience. Throughout the Fallout series, companions can be picked up but they have little influence in the game. Heck, the characters simply follow the player around without any life-like feel to them whereas the Mass Effect series, the companions can build a strong bond with the player.
To make things more realistic, players in the Mass Effect world can also engage in an intimate relationship with the AI characters. If Fallout 4 is going to enjoy such features, then players can look forward to a thoroughly mesmerizing experience in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Of course, there are tons of other features in Mass Effect 4 that can nurture Fallout 4 to be better. Perhaps once Mass Effect 4 gets released, Bethesda will start teasing on Fallout 4.
