Disney made it clear that they will be axing both the Marvel: Avengers Alliance and its sequel. After the poor response, Disney said that they would rather spend their time and effort and something better.
After the success of the first game, Disney was hoping that they would be able to achieve the same kind of success with the sequel but the sequel failed to gain the popularity that the first game had and at the end, Disney decided to kill off both games.
While that part is clear, some fans think that Disney will not give up on the Avengers that easily and that they might be working on a new Avengers game to replace the Marvel: Avengers Alliance game.
At this point, we don’t really know what Disney is working on. They have been making some questionable decision when it comes to their games like the axing of Disney Infiniti. This has lead many to believe that Disney might be looking to focus only on licensing and stop producing games altogether.
