HTC has already confirmed that the old One M7 smartphone will be getting updated to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. Even so, HTC failed to share on when the update will be rolled out to the smartphone.
On the other hand, One M7 users can skip the wait and jump straight to applying the Android 5.0 Lollipop update as this is now made possible thanks to the LS ROM developed by XDA.
However, the LS ROM is still in its early build so there are certain issues that come with it. The good news is that the XDA developers promised One M7 users that they will be updating the custom ROM to free it from any issues.
Now that things are up in the air, One M7 users can head down to XDA’s website to update their device accordingly. There, they will find the LS ROM, together with the installation instructions for them to follow.
