As exciting as the modular design was on the LG G5, it is clear that it was sort of a failure. The mods were not that popular the whole thing wasn’t as practical or smooth as we would like it to be.
We know that some of the LG G5 features will be making its way to the upcoming LG V20 but new reports are now saying that the modular design will not. According to CNET Korea, while users will not be able to fit in a more powerful camera or speakers, they will still be able to remove the battery.
The LG V20 will be the very first Android smartphone to come running on the new Android 7.0 Nougat. After the success of the LG V10, it will be interesting to see if LG was able to continue that success with the LG V20.
The new LG V20 will be officially unveiled in San Francisco this week.
