Google’s most anticipated smartphone yet, the LG Nexus 5, is due for release very soon. It’s been quite a while back when rumours and speculation on the device began to hit the internet regarding it and it still hasn’t stopped.
DroidLife revealed on its website that a photo of the LG Nexus 5 was spotted showing a a black back, vertical Nexus logo and a large camera. If the photos were to be legitimate, then all the rumours that have been around on the device’s looks have been true.
The Nexus 5 is further reported to feel smaller than the LG G2 and somehow a lot more related to the Nexus 7. It is no surprise since countless reports on the Nexus 5 bearing the look of the uninspiring Nexus tablet have been going around for some time now. The screen is thought to be average too, an inheritance brought over from the previous versions. However Google’s partnership with LG means now that the phone has a small bezel.
These disappointing specs are added to the already criticized lack of expandable storage, 8MP camera and 2300mAh battery.
What can we expect on the performance? It is safe to say the Google Nexus 5 will have a 5 inch full HD display and will run on the 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM. Of course, new tech like wireless charging, NFC, LTE connection are all inclusive in the device. Now the phone is of course very cheap so there will be some sacrifices to be made.
Question now is would you still want the Nexus 5? To be honest, it is a very good bargain to get one considering the price to performance ratio. Besides, there is a good explanation to why the phone jumped off the high-end wagon and asserted itself into the higher mid-range category instead. Whatever it may be, the Nexus 5 can still prove to be satisfactory.
