Earlier this year, LG launched the G3 and it was a revolutionary device since it became the pioneer in QHD display on the mainstream smartphone market. Not long later, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. Between the two, which is better?
At a glance, the Note 4 is slightly bigger than the LG G3. It sports a 5.7” screen that runs on QHD resolution. The G3, on the other hand, has a 5.5” display that comes with the same resolution. If pixel density is to be compared, then the G3 is sharper than the Note 4.
Under the hood, the Note 4 runs on the latest 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM. This is slightly faster than the G3’s 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. Both devices come with 32GB of internal storage with microSD support of up to 128GB.
The Note 4 is also faster in connections as it comes with 4G LTE Cat 6 that allows data transmission of up to 300MBPS. The G3 utilize the Cat 4 LTE technology where data speed is capped at 150mbps.
However, the G3 offers wireless charging, which is a new and growing feature on smartphone. The Note 4 is packed with other offerings like heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner, UV sensor and the S Pen for added productivity.
Camera-wise, the Note 4 is better as it offers a 16MP rear shooter and 3.7MP front shooter. The G3 has a 13MP rear shooter and a 2.1MP front camera.
Judging from the specs above, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is obviously the better device. Then again, this is not to say that the LG G3 is a bad smartphone in any way.
