The biggest local derby in the smartphone industry is probably with Samsung and LG. For many years already, the former has been above the latter. Now, the tides have changed as the latest LG G3 is beating the Samsung Galaxy S5 into a pulp.
LG is recording 25,000 to 30,000 units sold daily for the G3. This is so much more than the 7,000 to 8,000 Galaxy S5 sold daily.
LG is not that great with marketing. Even in Korea, most advertising space are literally owned by Samsung. Nevertheless, the company manage to beat the odds by simply creating the best smartphone at the moment.
The LG G3 came out with a 5.5” QHD display, which is powered by the Snapdragon 801 processor with a powerful 13MP rear shooter. This is simply beyond the S5’s capabilities.
