LG G2 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Now Available Under The Counter

Just recently, we talked about how XDA developers have been hard at work in creating the Android 5.0 Lollipop for various devices. Earlier today, the community of independent developers are back to announce that the LG G2 can now enjoy the latest OS.

Rashed97 has developed a custom ROM containing the Android 5.0 Lollipop and it is developed by way of AOSP and CyanogenMod 12. As such, the installation instruction is still familiar.

On a positive note, the Lollipop update for the LG G2 is operation-ready. Despite being an early ROM build, the camera, Wi-Fi, RIL, NFC, notification lights, display, all sensors, Project Volta, native apps, audio airplane mode, and Wi-Fi tethering are working fine. The only malfunctioning features are video recording and GPS on some devices, and there’s no cellular data on the LS/VS980 variants of the G2.

Also, it is worth noting that the update is compatible with the LG G2 D800, D801, D802, LS980, and VS980 variants. If you are using any of the aforementioned devices and wish to install the Lollipop update, you can refer to the following guide.
