Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be the first title from the entire Kingdom Hearts franchise to debut on both the Xbox One and PS4. So, to make full use of the console’s capabilities, Kingdom Hearts 3 is built with a newly developed game engine, Unreal 4.
Today, fans of the Kingdom Hearts series can catch a first glimpse at Unreal 4 technology after a screenshot of Kingdom Hearts 3 surfaced online. The image basically shows a picture taken from a cut-scene and it looks gorgeous.
The particles and textures are perfectly done as they populate the overall crisp graphics. The lightings too made Kingdom Hearts 3 looks new and spectacular.
Of course, Kingdom Hearts 3’s graphics improvements from Unreal 4 are not meant to make it look life-like as doing so might have a creepy outcome. I mean, who would want to play Mickey Mouse if it is designed to look like a real rat?
