For more than a decade already, Half Life fans have been kept waiting for Half Life 3. While Valve might have yet to make any reveals on the subject, there are many signs suggesting that Half Life 3 is in production.
The latest huge sign came on Ricochet. The game that is produced by Valve caught many Half Life fans by surprise when they learned that the protagonist’s default name is ‘3’. This has raised the idea on whether Ricochet is trying to relay a message on Half Life 3?
Such an idea is heavily supported by the recent leak at Steam which saw the surfacing of Half Life 3’s logo. With more and more leaks coming from Valve in quick successions, it does suggest that Half Life 3 is in production but in secrecy.
There is no way to be certain on why Valve has decided on the number 3 as the name of the protagonist for Ricochet. The game developer could either be toying with the Half Life fans are it may just be another coincidence.
