There is no such thing as a rotten Apple in the iPhone family. Even if the iPhone 5C is not a good seller, the device is still a great mid-tier phone. While the 5C might be the cheapest smartphone from Apple, it still cost more than the Google Nexus 5. The bigger question is which is better?
From the looks of it, both the Apple iPhone 5C and the Google Nexus 5 are colourful devices. They are built with style and are offered in a wide array of colours.
In terms of display, the 4.95” screen on the Nexus 5 certainly offers more viewing pleasure. It offers 445ppi, which is far more than the 326ppi being offered by the iPhone 5C. Despite that fact, the latter comes with Retina display, which offers some comfort to the viewer’s eye.
Even the battery life on the Nexus 5 is stronger than the iPhone 5C. The former comes with a 2,300mAh battery, which is more than the 1,560mAh battery on the iPhone 5C.
Things don’t get better for the 5C on the processor side of things. The 1.2GHz A6 chipset with 1GB RAM is certainly weak against the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM on the Nexus 5.
The only better element on the 5C is its rear camera. Both devices share the same pixel count but the shooter on the 5C comes with Digital Image Stabilization. The rear camera on the Nexus 5 is somewhat basic.
Nevertheless, the Nexus 5 bags the win. The $375 price tag is obviously the defining factor. Users get so much more with less to pay for. The $485 price tag for an entry level iPhone 5C is definitely a major turnoff.
