It is nothing but more turmoil for jailbreak users that are stuck on the Apple iOS 7.1.1. It appears that there won’t be any untethered version of the operating system coming into creation at all.
This is confirmed after jailbreak developer, Evad3rs, announced that they won’t be developing any untethered iOS 7.1.1 as they are busy working on the recently released iOS 8. In Evad3rs latest announcement, they revealed that the iOS 8 jailbreak is something really challenging and it will be ready in 3 months the earliest.
While it all looks dark and gloomy for jailbreak lovers trapped on the iOS 7.1.1, there is still a ray of hope for them to cling on. It appears that another hacker by the name of Winocm has developed the iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak but unfortunately, it is only compatible with the iPhone 4, 4th generation iPod Touch and first generation iPad.
The hacker explained on his YouTube demonstration video that the jailbreak was created thanks to the bypassed security of the Apple A4 processor. Those running on newer processors won’t be able to jailbreak at all.
