It seems that Apple is preparing for a major event which will unveil the future tablets from the company. There is an overwhelming anticipation for the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3, and both devices are definitely not far from its release.
This is rather obvious following the many price cuts on existing Apple tablets. BestBuy is spotted to slash $100 for both the Wi-Fi and cellular version of the iPad Air and the iPad Mini with Retina display. Both tablets now cost $529.99 and $429.99 respectively. Of course, this is for the entry level models and it comes with a carrier plan from Sprint, Verizon or AT&T.
On the other hand, there is the introduction of refurbished tablets from Apple. These tablets are actually second-hand devices which have been factory restored and got itself a new aluminium casing and battery.
The refurbished iPad Air is far cheaper than the brand new one, costing at only $420 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only models. The 32GB Wi-Fi iPad Air has a price tag of $510.
Things didn’t end there. Apple personally lowered the price of the iPad 4. This old slate now cost $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi and $529 for the 16GB cellular model. On top of that, the tech giant has stopped the production for the iPad 2.
With all these major price plummets, there is no denying that consumers are close to the iPad Air 2’s release. However, it is unsure if Apple will stick to its September release habit or push for an earlier date. For all we know, it is best to start saving now.
