The Apple iPad Air does have a build that is solid and it is a quality design. The battery life is good, but we would have liked the display to be bigger, hardware to be better and a better camera. What does make it good is that Apple offer some of the best apps on a tablet. The pricing for the tablet varies and you can expect to pay between $500 and $700.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 price and specs
• 10.1-inch Super Clear LCD (2560x1600px) touchscreen with 299 ppi

• 8MP rear cam, 2MP front cam
• 3G, Wi-Fi , Bluetooth, A-GPS
• 8,220mAh battery

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 does have a lot going for it. It comes with superb hardware in comparison to the Apple iPad Air. It has the larger display and this comes with better PPI. The battery life is around the same, but at the moment it lacks support for KitKat. You would pay out around $500, with some models coming in higher.

This is a fight that Apple isn’t going to win as the Apple iPad Air doesn’t match up to the latest version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. The price tag is around the same, but the Note 10.1 offers the better display, hardware and camera. However for quality of build then Apple do come out on top. iOS is stable and there is a lot of apps on offer.
