Hyundai 708hp Super Car Is The Sonata!

Hyundai might be a stranger in the land of super cars but that doesn’t mean that it won’t be able to produce something extraordinary. The Korean car manufacturer has apparently teamed up with Bisimoto Engineering to create a 708hp Sonata that will debut in this year’s SEMA event.

The Sonata involved is the 2015 model that runs on the 2.4L inline-four. Of course, this is entirely modified to achieve 708hp. While it might be by the slightest, this means that the Sonata has 1 extra horsepower than the Dodge Charger and the Challenger SRT Hellcat.

Bisomoto revealed that they achieved this by combining a set of strengthened components such as orged pistons, connecting rods, a high-revving valve train and camshafts. This will result in a high-boost turbocharger and a fast-burning, flex-fuel diet. The power mill is further mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Of course, Bisomoto didn’t fully share with us the car’s specification. At the moment, we have no clue on whether it will be a FWD, RWD or the AWD system. Also, we can’t tell on the sort of mill the Sonata is powered by.

All that Bisomoto said was about the importance of having outrageous power while maintaining reliability. The company spokesperson added that 18 variations of Sonata were produced and they will all come with 708hp.

Other features on the Super Sonata includes a custom laminated body wrap, graphics, aero kit, 18” rims, racing harnesses and AEM wideband gauges.
