HTC Two & Samsung Galaxy S5 Battle Dates Look Confirmed

Two devices that have been talked about a lot recently are the HTC Two, otherwise known as the HTC One M8 and the Samsung Galaxy S5. Now we have heard from sources that are reliable that both devices could be launched in April and February of this year. The rumour about a February release came about as this is when the MWC takes place in Barcelona this year. Recently we heard that a judge ruled on an infringement case between Nokia and the HTC One, where it was said that the HTC handset would arrive in February. It was at the MWC last year that the Samsung Galaxy S4 was revealed.

It was said that the HTC One M8 release date had been given away by a judge who reportedly said “HTC paints a dramatic picture of what will happen am bound to say I am somewhat sceptical about this evidence given that HTC will shortly be launching a new flagship phone which cannot be assumed to infringe and therefore be caught by the injunction. Nevertheless, I accept that there is a period between now and February or March 2014 when HTC is vulnerable.” This was said in reference to an injunction which would ban the sale of the HC One Mini in the UK. If it came to fruition the HTC One Max and HTC 8X and 8S would be removed from sale too. The junction is on hold at the moment.

The MWC 2014 and CES are the two biggest trade shows and Samsung favour them as they launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 at the MWC 2013 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at the CES. Experts have predicted that Samsung will use them to launch the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 this year at the same events. It has also been suggested that we could see the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S5 in April, while Samsung may choose to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the F series earlier this year. it has been rumoured that the Samsung Galaxy S5 may arrive with a 64 bit processor, camera of 16MP, an all metal body, curved display and a resolution of 2k. Nothing has been said about the HTC One M8.
