The HTC One M8 and the One Mini 2 haven’t been out long, and now HTC has announced the One E8. It’s different in looks to the M8 in that it’s made of polycarbonate rather than brushed aluminium, but apart from that they’re quite similar.
Both phones will be on a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chip with 2GB of RAM, the same Android OS and the same battery life. They also both sport 5” screens with 1080×1920 resolution displays.
The cameras have different sensors, though. The M8 has the Ultrapixel camera and a sensor to assess subject depth. The E8 doesn’t have this sensor but it has a 13MP rear camera. The M8 will cost £520 and the E8 will cost between £300 and £350.
So, it seems like if HTC stays fair with pricing, the One E8 might be on everyone’s Most Wanted list!
