HTC One E8 & M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Before September

It is finally confirmed. Google has unveiled the Android 5.0 during its I/O conference and it is tentatively called the Android Lollipop.

This sweet treat will be replacing the KitKat and HTC didn’t waste any time to share the Lollipop update road map with its users. The Taiwanese company confirms that the Android 5.0 update will be distributed to the One M8 first before going to older devices.

HTC named names like the One M7 and the recently released One E8. In conjunction with the HTC Advantage Program, HTC assured users that the Lollipop will be sent out within 90 days after the company receives the raw product from Google.

If that is happen anytime today or tomorrow, then users can look forward to using the Lollipop as early as September. Then again, Google has yet to go into details which make no sense to why HTC is rushing this announcement.

The previous KitKat was held back a couple of weeks from its scheduled release and HTC wouldn’t want to repeat that same mistake again.

At the moment, it is only with HTC that is buzzing about the Lollipop. Other manufacturers have yet to spill a bean on this upcoming OS.
