HTC One Android 4.4.2 Update: What’s It Really About?

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat has finally landed on the year-old HTC One M7. However, the update is not and ordinary one as HTC has thrown in updates to the One’s other features.

The changes includes improvement to Sense 5.5, cloud printing, security beefing, new Bluetooth profiles, flash support removal, UI changes and improvement to BlinkFeed. The list is much longer than this if the device is getting the update from its carrier.

On the downside however, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat failed to fix the purple tint issue on the HTC One’s camera for a small handful of users. The majority who encountered the issue before saw the update put an end to it. We advise the folks experiencing the purple tint problem to refer to HTC Support Center. After all, it might be a hardware issue.

At the moment, the KitKat is already out an available across the globe. If you have yet to update your HTC One M7, you can personally check for it under the Software Update option listed in the phone’s settings.
