We know that HTC is working with Google to manufacture the new Google Pixel and Pixel XL and while people thinks that HTC might have gotten the shorter end of the stick since the device won’t be carrying their name now, it looks like they might have gotten more out of the deal than we had assumed.
LllabTooFer has revealed on Twitter that the HTC 10 might be the first Android smartphone to receive the new Android 7.0 Nougat update which means HTC users will get to experience the new Nougat before Samsung, Sony, Motorola and more.
We are expecting the other smartphone manufacturers to start rolling out the update soon after the HTC 10 so the wait should not be that long.
There were also talks about Google already preparing the Android 7.1 Nougat update but nobody knows what new features the update will be offering. We know it is definitely not going to be the Google Assistant.
