Valve might be very secretive when it comes to Half Life 3 but it does not take a genius to figure out that the game’s release is inevitable. While there is no clear reason to what is delaying Half Life 3 from its development, many feel that the fault is entirely on Source 2.
Then again, fans also need to consider the other possibilities. As how it was mentioned by Valve, the game developer is being held back by the development of the VR headsets. The future gaming tool is expected to get unveiled at this year’s GDC and if it is to be a success then Valve can proceed with the production of Steam Console.
Once that is done, all that is left for Valve to do is produce Half Life 3. Obviously, the highly anticipated sequel is going to be VR Compatible and a Steam Console exclusive.
While there is no clear evidence on this, it does sound logical at best. After all, there is no better way for Valve to promote the Steam Consoles and the VR headsets than through the most sought after gaming title, Half Life 3.
