GTA 5 Tips: Get Rich (But Don’t Die Trying)

If you want the best of everything – fast cars, swanky properties and lethal weapons – in GTA 5, you’ll need the cash to pay for it. There are lots of ways to earn money in the game, but there are some that aren’t so obvious.

Rockstar released the 1.04 patch, and it reduced payments from missions by half!

The company is, however, giving away $500,000 to apologise to the fans for the GTA Online issues, and players will be getting this money soon.

The first instalment of $250,000 was made in mid-October.

Doing missions helps you to boost your stats, rank and reputation, but they also pay well, and the more missions you do, the better rewards you’ll get.

You’ll find jobs everywhere on the map, and you may also get invites from other players to take part in their missions. Once you’ve completed certain parts of the story, you’ll unlock more missions.

Once you’re at Level 15, you’ll find survival matches, which can earn some bucks. At Level 10, you’ll get $20,000. The survival missions involve between one and four players, and teamwork always works best! You can play these missions as many times as you want, and remember that the plane boneyard map has a building that gives you a serious rooftop advantage.

While you can steal cars and rob stores, you need to remember that you can only sell one car every 48 minutes, and that the police look out for stolen vehicles. You’ll get between 3, 5 and 7k for an SUV, and Lampadeti Felons will go for $9,000 or more. The catch is that Los Santos Custom Mod Shops only buy cars without tracking devices – very wisely.

For posher cars, head over to the Richman area of the map.

For a wishlist of pricy cars, ask Simeon, and he’ll send you a text – when you find one, take it to the mod shop for a re-spray and then take it to the docks to claim your reward.
