At this point, nobody knows where Rockstar is at when it comes to the Grand Theft Auto 6. They have not made announcement about them working on the next installment but it is believed that the GTA 6 will be happening.
If Rockstar is really working on the Grand Theft Auto 6, where are they at right now? Well, some believe that Rockstar might have already gotten the mapping part done for the game.
This rumor started after it was reported that Rockstar is currently looking for mission/technical scripter which suggests that Rockstar might want to start working on the storytelling mechanics of the game which suggest that the mapping part is done.
If that is the case, we might be able to see the game in 2019 which is earlier than what we had initially expected. Of course, since we have not heard from Rockstar yet, it is best to take this news with a pinch of salt.
