Google Nexus 9 To Replace The Nexus 10, Not The Nexus 10 2

The highly anticipated Nexus 10 2 appears to be nothing more than a myth. For 2 years now, the tablet has been tipped for a release but even today, there is still no sign of it coming.

Perhaps, there won’t be a Nexus 10 2 at all. New rumours suggest that the highly successful Nexus 10 will be succeeded by the upcoming Nexus 9 instead. The HTC Volantis will be its based model and it will feature an 8.9” screen.

Earlier today, spy shots of the Nexus 9 got leaked into the internet and it looks like the Nexus 7 and iPad Mini got blended together. In fact, the Nexus 9 seems like an enlarged Nexus 5.

Over at the rear portion of the device, there is an 8MP camera mounted at the top, right above the Nexus name that is engraved on the casing. As for the 8.9” display, it runs at 281ppi and will be powered by the NVIDIA Logan 64-bit processor with 2GB RAM.

Other features of the Nexus 9 include front stereo speakers and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage options.
