The Google Nexus 6 is expected to debut this year and it will be the last smartphone coming to the Nexus line. Google has partnered ever-so-well with LG in developing Nexus. As such, it is safe to assume that the Nexus 6 will be based on the upcoming LG G3.
This is a similar case like its predecessors where the Nexus 4 is based on the LG Optimus and the Nexus 5 based on LG’s G2 smartphone. This time round, it won’t be a case of replicating how it is with the LG device.
Word has it that the Nexus 6 is going to be a downsized version of the LG G3. The Nexus 6 is expected to share the same looks and such with the LG G3 but when it comes to performance and specification, both smartphones will differ from each other. The LG G3 is going to be the full package whereas the Nexus 6 will be less powerful than that.
Aside from that, the Nexus 6 will be accompanied by a smartwatch known as the Nexus Smartwatch. This Google watch will definitely put up a challenge in the wearables market. Again, LG will be the official developer for this Google watch.
All in all, it is an exciting year indeed for both LG and Google. On the other hand, it is kind of sad to know that Google won’t be going all out with its last Nexus device.
