The Google Nexus 5 is one of the best smartphones in history and this explains why many are still using the old device today. Unfortunately, the Nexus 5 is now showing signs of breaking down with the most common issue being the GPS feature.
Many Nexus 5 users are reporting that the Nexus 5’s GPS is no longer functioning properly. They claim that the tracker occasionally freeze and will jump or catch-up whenever it is responding again.
A tech expert revealed that the problem is sourced from the connector for the GPS in the Nexus 5. It is said that the connectors for the GPS antenna will lose contact overtime hence resulting in non-functioning feature.
Hence, Nexus 5 users can either get a replacement from Google or try re-calibrating the GPS compass with Google Maps. For the latter, users will need to open Maps and then rotate the device in a figure-8 pattern a couple of times.
