The Google Nexus 4 is a great handset but it is one that is getting old now and so it doesn’t come as any great surprise to hear that it isn’t getting updates anymore. However there has been some good news and this is due to the fact that an independent developer has come up with a Marshmallow ROM for the device.
What’s even better is the fact that there isn’t just one ROM available, but two, to choose from. The First of the ROMs is from Dmitry Grinberg and the second is from Aldrin Homes. So if you want to go ahead and install Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Google Nexus 6 you can start by backing up the data on your handset.
You can then transfer the TWRP file onto your handset and install/update it. You should then turn your handset off and put the device into Recovery mode by pressing Volume Up and Volume Down and the Power button all at the same time. When the TWP UI loads you should then choose Wipe>Factory Reset and then put of the Rom-GApps onto the handset and boot into recovery.
You can then find the ROM and go ahead and install it, then install GApps and reboot your Google Nexus 4 again and you will have Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your device.
