We have heard reports that we could see the Google Nexus 10 2nd gen arrive this year at the Consumer Electronics Show which is to be held in Las Vegas. Along with this it has been said that Samsung will be behind the tablet, this came from a source from Asia.
It does make sense that Samsung would be chosen for the Nexus 10 2nd gen as the company were behind the first Nexus tablet. Samsung have also indicated that they will launch several tablets this year at the CES.
There have been reports of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Lite coming to fruition along with a Galaxy Note Pro at 12.9 inches. However what seems to be the most interesting to Android fans is the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro with what has been said to be a 10.1 inch AMOLED display.
We have heard numerous specifications of the Nexus 10 2nd gen rumoured and the display dimensions of the Tab Pro 10.1 do fit in well with this. It could be that the two tablets will be the same one. If so there are several features that could be the killer of the Apple iPad Air.
There was talk that Google will make the Nexus 10 2nd gen as the strongest competition to the Apple iPad Air with the inclusion of a 10.1 inch display offering 2560 x 1600 resolution. This is based on leaks from benchmarks from AnTuTu.
Apple launched the 64 bit processor in the Air and Google could put their hopes of success on Samsung and the Exynos 6 processor. If they also incorporate the rumours of the 2GB of RAM and the1.9GHz CPU, then Apple could have stiff competition.
GBM also leaked results from AnTuTu which suggested that the device that has the model number of SM-T520 will have 32GB of space. If it turns out to be true then this will be an update from the 16GB that Google launched last year in the Nexus 10.
Rumours have pointed to the camera being 8MP on the back along with a camera of 2MP on the front.
There is little doubt that the Nexus 10 2nd gen will arrive with KitKat 4.4.2. However for now all this remains as speculations.
