Goodbye Nexus 6, Hello Android Silver

Over the last couple of months, more rumours have surfaced on the Google Android Silver program. For those who have living under a rock, the program is basically meant to make Google Play Edition of each and every device that runs on the Android OS.

As exciting as that may sound, the initiation of the Android Silver Program might also be the end of the Nexus program. Notorious leaker from @evleaks, Evan Blass, confirmed this by Tweeting that the Nexus 6 won’t be coming.

The lad then posted another Tweet which revealed that the Android Silver Program is the main reason why the Nexus 6 won’t happen at all. Evan concluded by revealing that the Program will be launched in February next year.

Of course, these are still unofficial information and it is best to take it with a pinch of salt. Even if it is true, there is still a chance for the Nexus 6 to get released. After all, every Nexus device are rolled out in November and if that is to be case for the Nexus 6, we will be seeing the device coming next month.
