Ford Going Blackberry Was The Right Move

The last Ford infotainment system, the MyFord Touch was created by Ford with the help of Microsoft. While the infotainment system was functional, it was far from being user-friendly and it was often listed as one of the main reason people dislike Ford models.

Ford customers have been begging Ford to upgrade their infotainment system for the longest time but instead of giving it a slight upgrade, Ford decided to ditch the MyFord Touch infotainment system and start over with the new Sync 3.

The Sync 3 infotainment system was created with the help of Blackberry. The infotainment system runs on the QNX operating system by Blackberry. Their goal for the new infotainment system is to make sure it is simple enough to use.

The new Sync 3 will also recognize some of the general touch screen gesture that we are used to, like pinching to zoom as well as some of the swipe gestures. The new Sync 3 will be available on all 2016 Ford and Lincoln model.
