Ford Ditches Microsoft For Blackberry, Was It The Right Move?

After years of having to deal with the frustrating MyFord Touch infotainment system, Ford is finally willing to make a change and give their customers what they have been asking for all along, a simple and easy to use infotainment system.

For 2016, all Ford and Lincoln models will come with the new Sync 3 infotainment system by Blackberry. Almost everything is different on the Sync 3. They changed the user interface giving us a simple design.

The system will also recognize some smartphone gestures like pinch to zoom and a few swipe gestures which make navigation through it a lot faster.

Those that got to try out the new Sync 3 also reported that the Sync 3 is a lot more responsive now. Every seems to be fast and smooth. The new Sync 3 infotainment system runs on the QNX operating system by Blackberry replacing the Microsoft Auto that the previous infotainment system was running on.
