One of the hottest mobile gaming titles at the moment are Flappy Bird and just want the game was about to explode in popularity, the creator, Dong Nguyen, pulled it out of the apps store.
There have been a lot of rumours and hoaxes circulating the web regarding Dong Nguyen following the discarding of Flappy Bird. The Vietnamese lad left in a mysterious way and not long later, a hoax of him committing suicide went viral.
In reality, Dong Nguyen disliked all the attention he has been receiving ever since Flappy Birds rise to success. The game developer revealed that he can hardly get any sleep with all the cameras on his face.
Other rumours suggested that Nguyen relied on a bot-service to repeatedly download his app. This is done to increase the rank of Flappy Bird and make it go viral. However, Nguyen denied this allegation claiming that it took so long for the addictive game to be a hit and if he had done so, Apple should have intervened.
All in all, Flappy Bird has certainly entertained everyone. It is one of the most challenging yet addictive games around. Gamers do hope that Nguyen will find the peace he is seeking.
