Fallout 4 might be in a state of secrecy but there is no doubt that the game will get released eventually to the Xbox One and PS4. When that happens, Fallout 4 will be the first title from th highly successful franchise to debut on the latest generation console.
On the downside of things, the game won’t be offering any spectacular graphics. This seems likely to happen and it can be proven if Fallout fans are to check out Fallout 3 again. The old title was running on the much older game engine that was used by Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. If the pattern is to follow, then Fallout 4 will definitely be powered by Elder Scrolls: Skyrim’s game engine.
Of course, Skyrim’s game engine was really great as it offered a vast world that is quick to render. However, running it on the Xbox One & PS4 will make it look average rather than splendid.
Also, Bethesda won’t be creating a new game engine for the sake of Fallout 4. After all, doing so will result in more money spent and more time needed to produce the latter. Surely, Bethesda wouldn’t want to delay some extra years to Fallout 4’s debut.
With that being said, there is a strong certainty for Fallout 4 to not be graphically powerful. Fans are highly advised to keep their expectations low while hoping for us to be wrong.
