Fallout 4: Ugly User Interface Sees No End

If you’ve spent an ungodly amount of time fighting super aliens, giant killer cockroaches and deadly super mutants, you might actually have to spend as much as the time it is to deal with the game’s terrible user interface. And we’re talking about the PC version of the game (which supposedly should have the most exhilarating experience whilst playing the game, but apparently not so because of its interface).

Yes, Fallout 4’s developers have tried to make the game more appealing and user-friendly by streamlining various systems and menus, but what they haven’t noticed is that it does make the game more confusing (than it already is). You’ll be nodding your head to this because in most cases, even the menus and interfaces fail to perform their most basic-presumed functions.

Of all the horrible interfaces that gamers have to deal with, they probably hated the The Pip-Boy interface most. It’s a huge portable computer that your character wears to keep track of everything there is to know about the game. As you can see from the picture above, the only actual information is shown in about one-third of the screen; with everything else is just pure nonsense. Not to mention, the Map (along with its small and indistinct features) as well. Why can’t they just have it zoomed in to just the size of the screen?

It’s undeniable that Fallout 4 is certainly a challenging and interesting game to play, but we’re really hoping that the next series won’t follow the footsteps of its predecessors in terms of the interface. Yes, the terrible interface. Okay, we’ll stop now.
