Facebook Android App Guilty For Sucking Excessive Data

Ever since AVG was launched on the Google Play Store, many users have jumped to download the app. While it was first thought as an anti-virus tool, AVG is commonly used as a data tracker for the smartphone users.

The biggest reveal made by the AVG app shows that Facebook is among the hardcore data suckers on an average smartphone. The app is simply connected 24/7 but it is unsure on what the app does that leads to a sharp incline in data usage.

Some AVG users who are aware on this joked that perhaps Mark Zuckerberg should consider producing Facebook Lite for low bandwidth users. The only known solution to this is to run Facebook with a browser instead of the app.

While the reasons for the data drain is unknown, it does coincide with the claims made by conspiracy theorists which revealed that Facebook continuously track every information on the smartphone for unknown purposes.
