Fans of the Elder Scrolls franchise that are waiting for Elder Scrolls Online to arrive on the Xbox One and PS4 are in for some heart-breaking news. It appears that the MMO RPG title has suffered a delay in its production. The delay also means that Elder Scrolls Online for the consoles will come in December.
The game developer, Bethesda, explained that they faced some difficulties in creating Elder Scrolls Online for the consoles. In detail, Bethesda is having a hard time integrating the game with the Xbox One and the PS4. The company revealed that both consoles have a totally different running system that is also complex.
Bethesda added that the only way out of it is to tailor Elder Scrolls Online for the brand new consoles separately. This requires more time to complete, thus, causing the delay.
On the bright side of things, Bethesda is calling for the fans to not wait and start playing Elder Scrolls Online on the PC. Once the console version is ready, players can simply load their saved file from the game’s cloud storage. Furthermore, Bethesda will be offering discounts for the console version of Elder Scrolls Online.
Players that have owned the PC version of the game can get the console version for only $20/€14.99/£12.99/AU$20.
