Bioware took the opportunity to give the audience at EA’s E3 press event a behind the scenes glimpse at the studio’s work on Mass Effect 4.
The audience went wild when the Commander Shepherd artwork popped up on screen, but it was suggested the new game wouldn’t tie in to the storyline of the original trilogy.
The major emphasis was on the vastness and depth of the new worlds being created. One developer said the environments were “so vast that you can kind of just continue on to the horizon.”
The footage made a lot of the technical aspects of the day-night cycles of the various planets, and it could be argued that BioWare was trying to convince the audience that these would be persistent worlds, though this wasn’t stated up-front.
Motoringcrunch will keep you posted if any other Mass Effect 4 news breaks during the week, so keep your eyes peeled!
