Dodge has never failed to offer the best all-American muscle car and soon, the high-end Challenger will get an off-road variant. The vehicle can already be seen after images of its concept got uploaded into the internet.
Known as the Challenger A/T Untamed Concept, the vehicle blends some old-school look that let out an aura of confidence around it. Basically, the Challenger A/T has that sporty Challenger body that is integrated into a truck chassis.
This is inclusive of the completely new, long-travel suspension, skid plates, body armor and rock sliders, and obviously flared fenders to support the huge off-road tyres. The lower bumper will have a long beam of light pointing forward, which will further aid in tackling the sand dunes and thick bushes.
While a V6 engine will be logical as it offers the right weight-to-power ratio, the concept actually comes with a Hellcat V8 supercharged mill, this making it a monstrous ride in a small frame. Dodge already has both a pickup truck, Ram, and an SUV, Challenger, so this model would cut into that action as well.
The Challenger A/T is only at the tip of the iceberg as the concept designer is planning to do something similar for the Mustangs and the Camaros. Of course, when it comes to final production, the odds are against the Challenger A/T.
