Dodge Challenger & Charger Could Lose Hemi V8 For Twin-Turbo V6

The Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger got a lot of attention when Dodge reveal that they were both going to be powered by the Hemi engine. However, it looks like even Dodge seems to think that they might be taking things too far as new rumors suggest that Dodge might be slowing things down with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine.

We know that Dodge is working on upgrading the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger right now and one of the upgrades that we are expecting to see this time is a powertrain upgrade.

According to the latest rumors, it is said that both the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger might be fitted with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that would allow the vehicle to deliver about 500hp.

500hp engine sounds like it will be fun but at the end of the day, it is no Hemi engine. Others seem to think that the twin-turbocharged V6 engine might be offer alongside the Hemi engine instead of replacing it.
