Because of how the game works now, the developer of Dishonored 2 is hoping that players will find it interesting enough to play it twice to fully understand what the game is all about.
As you all know, the new Dishonored 2 game will allow players to play as Emily or Corvo. It is initially believed that players will be able to play as both players anytime they want and that they can switch between those two throughout the game but that is not the case.
Harvey Smith from Arkane Studio explains that all players will start playing as Emily and that the decision to play as Corvo will come later. He also added that if they plan to play as Corvo, they will not be able to switch back to Emily and it is the same the other way around.
Because of that, players might have to play the game two times to fully understand the story.
