DayZ Standalone Update Brings Crazy New Physics & Pushes Servers To Max

There has been a long standstill silence with DayZ following the release of update v0.42 a couple of weeks’ ago. Today, that silence is broken as Bohemia Interactive looks to roll out plenty of updates in the weeks to come.

The changes are teased at DayZ Standalone’s Tumblr account. With the future updates, this beta version of the future epic zombie game will be more realistic than ever.

Players will be able to light up flammable objects. With this, players can set up camp just about anywhere they wish and also cook their meal with the flame. In addition to that, players will be able to throw objects and even power up attacks. Then there is also some new things coming to the physics engine. Players can look forward to enjoying ragdoll animations.

At the moment, DayZ Standalone is centred on Chernarus. This will soon expand further as the game developer will be looking to add a new town in the game. The town is revealed to be Karmanovka. As for the player’s arsenal, new weapons will be coming as well. This includes the P1 pistol, AKM assault rifle and the very first SMG.

Finally is the server upgrades. Bohemia Interactive was proud to announce that soon, there won’t be a 100 player restriction on the servers as they will be upgraded to facilitate a much bigger capacity.

All in all, DayZ Standalone is definitely making a name for itself despite it still being in development. The game is expected to debut in 2016 which is still far from now. As for the updates, expect them to be introduced in the experimental version first before arriving on the beta version of DayZ.
