We all knew that the last Dark Soul game was going to be the end of the story but fans were still hoping that the developers would continue with the Dark Soul Franchise.
However, the creator of the Dark Soul franchise, Hidetake Miyazaki has confirmed that he wants to move on from Dark Soul. He made it clear that Dark Soul 3 is the end but he was speaking for himself and not the team.
He added that if a staff member wants to pick up the game, he is not going to deny others from a future installment which means the door is not close for Dark Soul just yet. Until somebody decides to pick it back up, the only Dark Soul left to look forward to is the upcoming DLC, Ashes of Ariandel.
Miyazaki told Kotaku that his company is currently working on three new games and that one of them is a little weird
