Call of Duty Ghosts was released not long ago and the game arrived on all platforms at the same time, including the PS4 and Xbox One. Surprisingly Activision has gone ahead and confirmed that there is a new Call of Duty game being developed.
Call of Duty is the largest money making franchise of Activison and so they are not going to let it go. It has been said that by looking into the past release patterns, Treyarch will be behind the 3rd COD Black Ops game.
Sledgehammer who was behind Modern Warfare 3 is working alongside Activision, which leads us to believe that there could be a fourth instalment in the making too.
While Call of Duty has always been a popular game, recent reports have pointed to the franchise falling in quality. It was said that Call of Duty Ghosts didn’t make the most of the capabilities of the PS4 and Xbox One. Now fans of the series are calling for Activision to utilise the full potential of the Xbox One and PS4 with a COD title.
Activision confirmed that COD fans can expect to see the follow up game come out in the fourth quarter of this year. Activision have also worked on other titles, all of which are said to be coming out this year, including Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls, Destiny, Heartstone, Skylanders and new content for World of Warcraft.
