Chevy Impala & Cadillac XTS Recalled Over Fire Risk!

Chevrolet Impala and Cadillac XTS drivers are in for some bad news. It appears that there is some sort of issue with the vehicle’s electronic parking brake which has forced Chevrolet and Cadillac to recall the affected vehicles.

In detail, NHTSA has discovered that the electronic parking brake fails to fully retract on the 2013-2015 Cadillac XTSs and 2014-2015 Chevy Impalas. This means that drivers are actually forcefully driving the vehicle with the brakes still on.

Not only does this drain fuel more, it also puts the driver at risk of being burnt alive. The friction caused by driving with brakes on will heat up the faulty parts and could start an inferno. Of course, that has yet to happen so far.

As such, drivers of the affected vehicles should head down to the nearest GM service centre and simply get their car checked. If there is no issue, they are free to go. If not, then the mechanic will replace the parts at no charge.
