Chevrolet Silverado Goes Hybrid Once More, Not Enough To Go Around

GM is attempting to release a hybrid powered Chevrolet Silverado model and GMC Sierra model once more and you might want to act fast if you plan to get one because there won’t be enough to go around.

GM ahs announced that they will be releasing the new eAssist models. The model will come in running on a 5.3 liter V8 engine that will be paired with a 0.45kWh battery pack. According to GM, the hybrid engine will be offering about 355hp and 383lb ft of torque. The hybrid engine will offer a 2mpg improvement to the fuel efficiency of the vehicle.

The new hybrid engine will be offered on the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado model as well as the GMC Sierra model. It was also announced that GM plans to release on 700 units of these hybrid model, 500 units for the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado and 200 units for the GMC Sierra.

To own one, owners will only have to pay $500 extra.
